About Us

 Palmerston and Regional Basketball Association (PaRBA) was founded in 2014 due to a need to service the Palmerston and rural areas Basketball community, with programs that could be held within the local area.

PaRBA began providing programs in May 2015 and has experienced continued growth to be a leading provider of basketball, social and School Holiday programs in the community.

Our current programs are:

Basketball programs:

* PaRBA Peewees - an introduction to ball skills

***PaRBA Mini Ball – an introduction to game play

****Palmerston Junior Basketball Competition  - our competition for player development

Level Up Esports - our gaming community who deliver sessions weekly in the Palmerston Recreation Centre, community gaming sessions as requested, and participation in major community events, including the Palmerston Youth Festival's Geekfest.

Northern Suburbs activities. We deliver Esports and basketball  activities in partnership with The Red Cross at the SHAK at Sanderson High School and a community outreach which involves contact with young people in public spaces. These activities occur during school terms, and occurs through Darwin Youth Activity funding provided by Territory Families.

Youth Drop in Sports (YDiS) - Mon-Thur 3 pm-5 pm and Fri 6 pm-9 pm (School Holidays 5 pm - 9 pm Friday). YDIS is delivered in partnership with the City of Palmerston, through their in-kind support of the Recreation Centre, and funding provided under the Palmerston Youth Activity funding by Territory Families.

YDiS focuses on placed based activities for young people in Palmerston, aged 10 to 18 years.

School based programs including development and wellbeing clinics - Primary, Middle and Secondary schools.
