Youth Drop In Sports is a one stop shop for young people (12 – 24yrs) from Palmerston and surrounds.  Our aim is to build resilience in young people and help build a healthier community.

Palmerston and Regional Basketball Association (PaRBA) coordinate the Youth Drop In Sports program. PaRBA are in a partnership with Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities and City of Palmerston to provide increased recreation and services to the region’s youth.

PaRBA's youth programs are at no cost and suitable for young people aged 12-24yrs. Their purpose is to create the conditions for a community that is resilient, inclusive and engaged. PaRBA’s partnership with Territory Families and City of Palmerston supports the delivery of:

*Youth Drop In Sports: Monday to Thursday 3-5pm and Fridays 6pm-9pm (during term). This drop in youth program is free for young people aged 8 – 25 years and includes casual activities, food and fun.

*School Holiday Program: for young people aged 8 - 25 years and may include art workshops, sporting competitions and events

Palmerston Recreation Centre opening hours:

Mon - Thurs 3pm-5pm

Fridays 6pm-9pm (Dry Season) / Friday's 6pm-8pm (Wet Season)

Entry through the gate on Frances Drive (McDonald's side of centre)

 

 

Palmerston Youth Activities Grant Funding Review 2021

Palmerston Youth Activity Grant Funding Evaluation Report was launched on 13 May 2021.

Palmerston and Regional Basketball Association (PaRBA) was grateful to host the launch of the Palmerston Youth Activity Grant Funding evaluation report at the Palmerston Recreation Centre.

Since early 2018 local community organisations have received funding from the Northern Territory Governments Regional Youth Grants Program to deliver activities for young people, aged 10 to 17 years after hours and during school holidays.
